Jakub Śliwiński was born on September 28, 1998, in Kędzierzyn-Koźle, where he spent his youth. He graduated from a secondary school (II Liceum Ogólnokształcące) in Kędzierzyn-Koźle, where he has taken his first steps in the world of local government.
Currently, he is a student of Chemical Technology at the Faculty of Energy and Fuels; however, he has not abandoned his activities at the level of local government. During his academic years, he has had the opportunity to participate in the iStudies Ambassador Programme and work as a marketing specialist in the renewable energy sources industry. In 2017, at the beginning of his academic journey, he became a member of the University Board of Student Government (UBSG). On June 4, 2020, he was elected the chairperson of the UBSG; he assumed the role on September 1, 2020. On this date, by virtue of the act, he also became a member of the University Council.
He resigned from his job for the duration of his two-year term of office as the UBSG chairperson, dedicating himself fully to the AGH UST student community. In addition to the functions he performs at the university, he is also the director of the Juwenalia Student Festival elected by the collective body that gathers student governments from the city of Krakow; and a member of the Students’ Parliament of the Republic of Poland.
