Clayton Birchenough has worked in various engineering roles since 2017. In 2017, they were an Associate in Science at National Security Technologies, LLC (NSTec), where they developed particle-size distribution MATLAB diagnostic codes and wrote code to improve experimental accuracy and results. In 2018, they worked as an Associate in Science at Mission Support and Test Services, LLC, where they prepared MATLAB image segmentation software for distribution to U.S. DOE national labs. From 2020 to 2022, they were an Associate Engineer at Aerojet Rocketdyne, where they automated analysis and review flight and ground-test data for RL10 liquid rocket engines, wrote, automated, and improved software to aid in analyzing, visualizing, and processing RL10 and RS-25 engine data, and supported critical investigations through video analysis and custom data processing scripts. Currently, they are a Propulsion Analysis Engineer at AGILE Space Industries.
Clayton Birchenough attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from 2015 to 2019, earning a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering and Computational Mathematics.
