Brandon Z.

Brandon Z. is an experienced engineer and leader, currently serving as Chief Engineer at Anduril Industries since September 2025 and as Founder of Skirmesh since July 2021. Previously, Brandon Z. held multiple roles at STR, including Technical Director, Hardware Development Lead, Lead Engineer, Software Development Lead, and Senior Engineer from November 2021 to September 2025. An Associate Researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from June 2016 to January 2022, Brandon Z. also served as a Submarine Officer in the US Navy for over two decades, from December 2001 to January 2022. Educational qualifications include Master’s Degrees in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, as well as Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, along with a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Old Dominion University.
