Zülal Akarsu

Zülal Akarsu has a diverse range of work experience. From 2023, they worked as the Head of Marketing at Agilisys, where they were responsible for launching innovative products and managing all marketing efforts. Prior to that, from 2022 to 2023, they worked as an MBA Consultant at Creative Destruction Lab, supporting a startup focused on green hydrogen production. From 2017 to 2021, they held various roles at Huawei, including Head of Marketing (R&D), Scrum Master, and Process Improvement Engineer & Project Manager. Zülal also served as the Past President at Rotary International from 2007 to 2021, leading numerous projects and receiving notable awards. Additionally, they gained experience as a Sales Marketing Engineer at Intel Corporation in 2015, a Management Intern at Mercedes-Benz Türk A.Ş. in 2014, a Process Excellence Intern at Alstom in 2014, and a Business Development and IT Intern at Turkish Airlines in 2013.

Zülal Akarsu has a diverse and extensive education history. Zülal obtained their Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Boğaziçi University in 2016. During their undergraduate studies, they also had the opportunity to study Chinese Language and Literature at Shanghai University in 2016. Zülal further pursued their education by completing a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, which they are expected to finish in 2022. Zülal also completed a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering at Politecnico di Milano in 2014. In addition to their formal education, Zülal has acquired various certifications and specializations. Zülal holds certifications in programming, data science, AI, digital marketing, and product management from reputable institutions such as Google, IBM, and the University of Michigan. Zülal has also undergone training in DevOps, professional scrum, Lean Six Sigma, first aid, and global environmental management. It is worth mentioning that they have participated in ideation lab programs at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and attended the Oxford School of Climate Change organized by the Oxford Climate Society. Furthermore, Zülal has obtained a behavioral science of management certification from Yale School of Management and a DASA DevOps Fundamentals certification from APMG International. Zülal also holds a Professional Scrum Master certification from Scrum.org and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Huawei. Lastly, Zülal Akarsu is currently pursuing a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification through BilgeAdam Technologies.
