Girish Venkatachaliah

Girish has served as Chief Technology Officer since early 2021. He has spent over two decades in Data and AI in a variety of leadership roles. Prior to agilon health, he was a Partner at Frazier Healthcare Partners – driving Data & Artificial Intelligence strategy for their portfolio companies. Before Frazier, Girish was the Chief Technology & Product Officer at Decision Resources Group (DRG), where he was responsible for all products, strategy, epidemiology, and engineering. He created the strategy and roadmap for DRG that led to several buyers vying for the company and its rapid sale to Clarivate Analytics for nearly a billion dollars. Girish headed Athena intelligence, a division of Athenahealth, where he led the Data & AI/ML strategy, research, product management, and engineering teams. Before Athenahealth, Girish was the Vice President of product development at IBM and was responsible for a portfolio of cloud offerings that included Watson Machine Learning and persistence in the Watson Data Platform. Over 17 years at IBM, he has held various executive roles in the data, analytics, and AI/ML space. Girish has a B.S. in Electronics Engineering, M.S Engineering Management in Computer Science, and an MBA from the dual degree program of University of California, Berkeley and Columbia University, New York.
