Balasubramanyam Ganapathi

Balasubramanyam Ganapathi has extensive experience in engineering and management roles. Balasubramanyam is currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Agilysys since 2018. Prior to this, they held the positions of Senior Engineering Manager and Engineering Manager at the same company, where they played a crucial role in the development and success of the self-service kiosk product rGuest BUY. Balasubramanyam also led the transition to online ordering during the pandemic, resulting in significant growth and an expanded customer base.

Before joining Agilysys, Ganapathi worked at Scientific Games as a Lead Software Engineer (UI/UX) from 2014 to 2018. Balasubramanyam was responsible for designing and developing user interfaces for gaming software. Balasubramanyam also worked at Veeva Systems as an Interaction Designer - Consultant in 2014.

Ganapathi's earlier work experience includes positions at Georgia Institute of Technology, Bally Technologies, and iSoft. At Georgia Tech, they served as a Student Researcher and Graduate Research Assistant, leading teams in the development of a pavement and road quality tracking system. At Bally Technologies, they worked as a Senior User Interface Engineer, contributing to the GUI team and developing user interfaces for various products. Balasubramanyam Ganapathi completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Engineering from Bharath Institute of Science and Technology between 2001 and 2005. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Human Computer Interaction from Georgia Institute of Technology from 2011 to 2013.
