Scott Buckner has over 30 years of work experience in various roles, starting from 1986. Scott began their career as a Project Engineer at Allied-Signal Aerospace, where they were involved in the design of strapdown inertial navigation systems for the US Navy. Scott worked on feedback control, drive circuitry, and navigational firmware using FORTRAN and Lotus123.

From 1991 to 1993, Buckner worked as a Senior Project Engineer at Energy Investment, Inc., where they led a design team in implementing demand-side energy management projects. Scott designed comprehensive lighting system conservation improvements for various facilities and performed economic analyses for potential energy, cost, and maintenance savings.

Moving on to 1993, they became the President of Abacus, Inc., working as an independent Lansa consultant. Scott provided technical analysis, database design, and application development for an account collections system for a regional telecommunications corporation. Scott also designed and developed mail-order sales forecasting and order entry applications for a direct mail-order apparel company.

In 1999, Buckner joined MBM Corporation as a Project Leader in Information Systems. Their responsibilities included systems and technical analysis, database design, application development, and after-hours support. Scott worked on various Lansa applications, such as outbound logistics packages, route optimization applications, warehouse management systems, time clock and payroll interfaces, order entry applications, and more. Scott also developed a vehicle-tracking web services application using WAMs, Lansa Integrator, and DDM data queues on the iSeries.

Lastly, since 2008, Buckner has been working at Agilysys. Scott started as a Senior Programmer/Analyst and gradually took on higher roles. Currently, they serve as the Manager of Software Development. Their responsibilities include program management, technical program management, Level 4 support, and working with customers and application vendors to gather system requirements and write business and functional requirements.

Scott Buckner attended Randolph High School from 1978 to 1982. Scott then went on to Rutgers University from 1982 to 1986, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
