During their time at JPMorgan Chase, they completed the Leadership & Engineering Advancement Program (LEAP) Graduate in 2022. Jake was involved in various projects, including converting a monolithic .Net Framework application into over 20 .Net Core microservices, redesigning the architecture to accommodate new client onboarding, integrating Jenkins CI/CD Pipeline for streamlined deployment, and developing regression testing tools. Jake also converted SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to C#, saving the firm money in service fees. Additionally, they wrote xUnit test cases for microservices, designed a file error analysis tool, and managed JIRA service tickets.
Before their tenure at JPMorgan Chase, Jake worked as an Application Developer Intern at the company in 2016. Jake also has experience as a General Manager at Mayo Autoworks, where they worked from 2012 to 2014. Jake started their career in education as a Business Education teacher at Killeen ISD from 2010 to 2013.
In their earlier years, Jake owned and operated Jake and Randy's Lawn Service from 2003 to 2006. Jake also had a role as a DJ under the name "Dj Mayo" from 2009 to 2013. Prior to that, they had a management intern position at HEB from 2005 to 2009.
