Tomislav Petković

Tomislav Petković has a diverse work experience in various roles related to computer vision, robotics, AI consulting, data science, and research. Tomislav is currently working as a Computer Vision Engineer at Agot since 2022. Previously, they worked as a Robotics Consultant at Rex-T and an AI Consultant at Lumier AS, where they gained experience in porting clients' codebase to ROS2, improving robot simulation parameters, developing custom robot controllers, and synchronizing multiple databases. Tomislav also worked as a Data Scientist at EIP Holding AS and a Computer Vision Consultant at Healthcare Integrated Technologies Inc. In addition, they worked as a Computer Vision Engineer at Wang Labs, where they implemented stereo camera object detection, designed algorithms for color filters and background removal, and calibrated stereo cameras for depth estimation. Before that, they were a Senior Research Assistant at FER, where they focused on human action recognition and path prediction using machine and reinforcement learning models. Tomislav also worked as a Researcher at Innovation Centre Nikola Tesla and as a Junior Researcher at the same institution. Tomislav Petković also gained experience as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Karlsruhe and as a Python Developer at AVL.

Tomislav Petković earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from FER in 2015. Tomislav continued their education at FER and obtained a Master's Degree in Robotics and Control Engineering in 2017. Tomislav then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Robotics & Artificial Intelligence at FER from 2017 to 2022.
