Ben Doree

Ben Doree has extensive experience in risk management and compliance. Ben started their career as a Senior Administrator in the Retail Firms Division at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in 2007. Ben then moved to the FCA's newly created Supervisory Oversight Function, where they performed project management and technical support roles for monitoring reviews across various financial sectors. Ben was later promoted to Lead Reviewer, responsible for assessing the quality and effectiveness of firm supervision, specializing in retail and commercial insurance.

In 2011, Ben transitioned to the role of Firm Supervisor within the FCA's Supervisory Division, where they developed and delivered supervision strategies for large retail insurance firms/groups. Ben continued to excel in this role, securing a promotion to the position of Firm Supervisor (Senior Associate) and overseeing the regulatory supervision of various retail insurance firms.

In 2018, Ben took their expertise to MAPFRE Assistance as a Risk & Compliance Officer, tasked with building and embedding a UK-centric risk and compliance framework. Ben later became the Compliance Manager, responsible for managing a compliance function and maintaining the relationship with regulatory authorities.

In 2021, Ben joined AllClear as the Compliance Manager, overseeing the risk and compliance aspects of the Insure and Go brand's re-launch and integration with the AllClear business. Ben acted as the de facto Head of Risk & Compliance for the UK AllClear business.

Currently, Ben is the Head of UK Risk and Compliance at Agria Pet Insurance.

Ben Doree obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language from Lancaster University from 2002 to 2005. Prior to that, they completed their A Levels in English Language & Literature, Geography, History, and General Studies at Westcliff High School for Boys from 1998 to 2002.
