Merve Elif Demirtas

Merve Elif Demirtas is a Machine Learning Engineer at Agrilution since January 2021, specializing in data cleaning, gathering, labeling, plant classification, image segmentation, and object detection using computer vision methods. Previously, Merve worked as an Artificial Intelligence Engineer at Cezeri Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Technologies, focusing on anomaly detection for UAVs, and as a Machine Learning Engineer at BUNSAR, where NLP classifiers for clothing type inference were developed. Merve gained research experience in computer vision and machine learning at SiMiT Lab and the University of Cambridge, contributing to a project on group-level emotion recognition. Academic credentials include a Master of Informatics from the Technical University of Munich and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Istanbul Technical University.
