Xianpeng Liu

Xianpeng Liu is a Machine Learning Engineer at TikTok since February 2024, specializing in the development of Machine Learning models for e-commerce multi-modality data. Previously, Xianpeng served as a Research Assistant at North Carolina State University from August 2018 to December 2023, focusing on 2D and 3D Vision and vision-based perception algorithms in the Laboratory for interpretable Visual Modeling, Computing and Learning (iVMCL). Xianpeng also held the position of Teaching Assistant, instructing various courses related to machine learning and computer vision. In addition, Xianpeng contributed to a project on automated content analysis via crowdsourcing under the guidance of Dr. Chau-Wai Wong. Prior experience includes a Research Intern role at InnoPeak Technology, Inc., where Xianpeng worked on monocular 3D object detection and human mesh recovery. Academic credentials include a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University, a Master of Science in Materials Processing Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science in Welding Science and Technology from Harbin Institute of Technology.
