Sharon Wulff has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Sharon started their career as a Software Engineer Student Intern at Intel Corporation in 2004. Sharon then worked as a Software Developer at Check Point Software Technologies from 2005 to 2007, where they focused on content inspection and implemented a URL filtering component.
In 2008, they joined ETH Zurich as a PhD student in the machine learning group, specializing in optimization aspects of machine learning structured models. Sharon conducted research on topics like multiple kernel learning algorithms, discrete optimization problems, and bi-clustering. During their time there, they also developed learning-based solutions for industry and academic partners. Sharon further worked as a Researcher at ETH Zurich in 2014.
From 2014 to 2016, Sharon worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Crosswise Ltd. (Acquired by Oracle), where they researched and implemented a cross-device matching solution using Python, Spark, and Hadoop. Sharon also led a reading and discussion group focused on recent ML research.
In 2016, they joined Centralway Numbrs AG as a Senior Data Scientist before moving to Cisco in 2017, where they held the position of a Senior Data Scientist. At Cisco, they contributed as a data scientist until 2019.
Currently, Sharon is working at Agrinorm. Sharon co-founded the company in 2019 and serves as the CPO & Co-Founder.
Sharon Wulff holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science from ETH Zürich, which they obtained between the years 2009 and 2014. Prior to that, they pursued a Master's degree (MSc) in computer science with a specialization in machine learning at the University of Waterloo from 2007 to 2008. Their educational journey began at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where they completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Engineering from 2001 to 2005.
