Alex Dess

Alex Dess has over 13 years of experience in software engineering and database administration. In 2021, they began working as a Full-Stack (TypeScript) Software Engineer for AgriWebb. In 2020, they were the Founder of Electric Blue Horseman, where they built a 3rd party app to provide reporting for Bitbucket Pipelines using Golang, React (Typescript) and AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, SQS & DynamoDB). Alex also worked as a Go Application Developer for Nine, a DevOps Contractor for JobAdder, and conducted startup idea validation. In 2014, they were a Senior Engineer (DevOps) at Ansarada, and in 2013 they were the CEO & Co-Founder of Peerza Farming Solutions. In 2012, they were the Lead Engineer at Corporate Citizen Pty Ltd and a Senior Database Administrator at Fairfax Digital. Finally, in 2008, they were a MS-SQL Database Administrator at OzForex.

Alex Dess began their educational journey at Crown Street Primary School from 1987 to 1990. Alex then attended Newington College from 1991 to 1997. Finally, they completed a B.Sci in Computer Science at UNSW from 1998 to 2001.
