Varun Mithra

Varun Mithra has a diverse work experience in various roles related to digital transformation, technical architecture, and process automation. Varun is currently working as a Solutions Architect for Hyperautomation & Digital Transformation at ahlibank since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Mashreq Bank as a Technical Architect for Digital Transformation from May 2019 to March 2022. Varun also worked at Citi as a Technical Architect from June 2018 to May 2019 and at Candela Labs as a Technical Lead from January 2018 to July 2018.

Earlier in their career, Varun worked at Virtusa as a BPM Lead Consultant from July 2016 to December 2017. Varun also had multiple roles at Mashreq Bank, including Lead Technical Analyst from May 2016 to December 2017 and BPM Consultant from November 2014 to February 2016. Varun gained experience in IBM Websphere Application servers, Process Automation, and integration with various banking applications during their tenure at Mashreq Bank.

Prior to joining Mashreq Bank, Varun worked at VISAKA INDUSTRIES LTD. in India as a BPM Development Engineer from April 2013 to March 2014. Varun was responsible for process automation, Oracle E Business Suites, and Oracle API. Varun also worked at Crane Worldwide Logistics as a Websphere ODM Developer from July 2012 to May 2013, and at BNSF Railway as an IBM BPM - WODM Developer from May 2009 to March 2012.

Varun Mithra completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Computer Science from Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Vishwa Mahavidyalaya, Kancheepuram from 2005 to 2009. Following this, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a focus on Finance and Marketing at Osmania University from 2010 to 2012.

In terms of additional certifications, Varun obtained certifications in various fields from IBM. Varun completed the "IBM Watson Artificial Intelligence V2 practitioner" course in June 2020, and gained certifications in Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Data Science and Analytics, IBM Cloud Specialist, and Internet of Things in May 2020. Additionally, they obtained the "Derivatives Market (Dealers) Module (DMDM)" certification from the National Stock Exchange of India Limited in June 2012, and the "Capital Market (Dealers) Module (CMDM)" certification in November 2011.
