Mona Mehta

Professor Mehta has taught in the Department of Politics and International Relations at Scripps College in Claremont, USA, and in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar. She is the co-editor of Gujarat Beyond Gandhi: Identity, Conflict and Society (Routledge 2010) and has authored scholarly articles and book chapters pertaining to her research interests. Her academic writings have been published in journals such as Economic and Political Weekly, South Asia: Journal of South Asian Studies, Contributions to Indian Sociology, Contemporary South Asia, and International Journal of Urban and Regional Research. She is working on a book manuscript examining youth aspirations and urban transformations in post-liberalisation India.
