Rembrandt Heerkens Thijssen

Rembrandt Heerkens Thijssen currently serves as the Director of Sourcing Central Southeastern Europe at Ahold Delhaize, a position held since December 2011, where responsibilities include leading a multinational team focused on joint sourcing and creating sustainable value across various markets including the Czech Republic, Greece, Serbia, and Romania. Prior roles at Ahold Delhaize involved serving as Program Lead EU Sourcing and Senior Category Manager for Albert Heijn Belgium, where Rembrandt managed significant turnover and sales for multiple product categories. Earlier experiences include positions at Heineken and Ahold, alongside leadership roles in projects and student organizations. Rembrandt holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Groningen and is currently furthering education at Cornell University, in addition to obtaining a certification from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust.
