Stuart Bedford

General Counsel at Ahren Innovation Capital

Stuart has been involved in the world of technology and technology businesses for more than 30 years. He brings a unique mix of legal, commercial and investment experience to supplement his many years of transaction execution, and has assisted a range of clients across domains relevant to Ahren.

Stuart was a Partner of Linklaters with roles including Global Co-Head of the firm's Technology Sector and Steering Committee Member of Nakhoda - which finds creative new ways to solve old problems in the practice of law with technology. Stuart's prior roles at Linklaters included Head of Corporate (London), Co-Head of Energy, Head of Corporate (Asia), and Co-Head of Consumer. Separately, Stuart spent two years as in-house counsel with BAE Systems before becoming a Senior Consultant at Grosvenor, a technology and outsourcing consultancy. Stuart was a Partner of a technology-focused private equity firm, Leapfrog Investments.

Stuart holds a degree in Engineering from the University of Cambridge and, in connection with his studies, spent a year writing code for the engineering company, Sandvik. Whilst working for Grosvenor he obtained a senior management executive diploma, focusing on organizational change driven by technology.
