Joel Hilmersson

Joel Hilmersson is a computational geometry engineer with experience in applied research and algorithm-driven engineering. Joel'sroles have included developing generative models for engineering applications, project work focusing on complex geometry and fabrication, and structural/facade engineering of complex structures. Joel has also worked as a teacher in digital design and as a tutor and professor assistant in MATLAB and structural design at Chalmers University of Technology. Hilmersson has worked for Ai Build, Generative Engineering, AKT II, Sunnerö, Bollinger+Grohmann Ingenieure, Knippers Helbig, and Chalmers University of Technology. Joel'sexperience spans from 2014 to the present.

Joel Hilmersson began their education at Polhemsgymnasiet from 2008 to 2011. Joel obtained their BSc in Architecture and Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology from 2012 to 2015. From 2016 to 2017, they studied Structural Engineering as an exchange student at Delft University of Technology. Subsequently, from 2016 to 2019, they also obtained their MSc in Structural Engineering and Building Technology from Chalmers University of Technology. From 2017 to 2019, they completed their studies at Chalmers University of Technology, earning an M.Arch in Architecture and Urban Design.
