Neeraj Katiyar

Neeraj Katiyar is an accomplished R&D scientist specializing in software and machine learning, currently employed at Hitachi Energy since January 2024, focusing on innovative solutions for the energy sector. Simultaneously, Neeraj serves as a Machine Learning Fellow at McGill University's Faculty of Science, aiding undergraduate STEM students in navigating university-level learning. As the Canada Ambassador for AI for Global Goals, Neeraj advocates for the integration of AI in support of sustainable development initiatives. Previous roles include teaching assistantships at McGill University, R&D work with Siemens Energy, and senior software engineering with Accenture. Neeraj holds a Master of Science in Computer Software Engineering from McGill University and has participated in a Machine Learning Summer School at the University of Oxford, complementing a foundational Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology.
