David Norris

Founder in Residence at AI Fund

David Norris has a rich and extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. David is currently working as a Founder in Residence at AI Fund since May 2023. Prior to that, from September 2020, they served as the Chairman Of The Board and Non-Executive Director at Skills Matter, a global tech community and continuous learning platform for software engineers. In the same year, they co-founded and served as Chairman at Preem, the first vertical social network for passionate cyclists.

Before that, David held the position of Chairman and CEO at Element3 Health from May 2018 to April 2023. David also served as a non-executive director on the board of OutcomeMD from December 2020 to January 2023. Additionally, they served as a non-executive director on the board of IDify and MD Insider, both of which were eventually acquired by other companies.

David has a track record of founding successful companies. David co-founded and served as CEO of MD Insider, an AI-powered healthcare company, from January 2013 to January 2017. David was also the co-founder, president, and CEO of BlueCava, an advertising technology company that revolutionized online advertising targeting, from November 2009 to August 2012.

Furthermore, David founded and led OnRequest Images, a global provider of custom image libraries, from May 2002 to May 2008. Prior to that, they co-founded and served as CEO of ObjectSpace, a distributed computing platform provider, from 1992 to 2001. ObjectSpace grew from a 2-person startup to over 350 employees with revenue exceeding $40 million.

David Norris attended The University of Texas at Dallas from 1985 to 1990, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. In addition to their education, they obtained certifications as a Licensed Racer from USA Cycling in January 2010 and as an Open Water Diver from PADI in January 1985.
