Ellen Li, CPA, CA, CFA

Ellen Li, CPA, CA, CFA has a diverse range of work experience in finance and accounting. Most recently, they serve as the Head of Finance and Accounting at AI Fund, a venture studio that supports entrepreneurs in building successful companies. Prior to this, they were a Founding Member at The F Suite, and a CFO/Advisor at AEO Consulting.

Ellen also has a solid background in investment management, having held positions at Fengate Asset Management. As the Vice President of Finance for Private Equity, they oversaw all finance and operations activities, working closely with the investment team to optimize portfolio returns. In their role as the Senior Manager of Finance for Infrastructure, they managed finance and compliance activities for over 30 infrastructure investments.

Before entering the investment industry, Ellen gained valuable experience at KPMG. Ellen served as a Manager with a focus on financial institutions and real estate, working with notable clients. Ellen also held roles as a Senior Accountant and Staff Accountant during their time at KPMG.

Additionally, Ellen had a unique opportunity to work at KPMG South Africa as a Supervisor, where they developed industry knowledge in the energy, resources, and mining sector. Ellen participated in engagements for global resource companies and conducted site visits to underground gold mines.

Early in their career, Ellen worked as a Foreign English Teacher at EF Education First.

Ellen Li, CPA, CA, CFA, completed their Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree with a specialization in Accounting and a major in Economics at the University of Toronto from 2005 to 2009. Ellen obtained their Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) certification from CPA Ontario in August 2012. In September 2015, Ellen obtained the additional certification of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the CFA Institute.
