James Bowman

James Bowman is an Investigator and Director of Protein Engineering at AI Proteins since November 2021. Prior to that, James worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard Medical School, Boston Children's Hospital, and Institute for Protein Innovation from February 2020 to October 2021. James has experience in discovering and engineering de novo designed miniproteins targeting cancer cell markers using various techniques. Earlier in their career, James worked as a Graduate Student and Research Technician at Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, where James earned their Ph.D. in Genetic, Molecular, and Cellular Biology. James holds a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience from the same university.
