Yaron Sternbach

Yaron Sternbach has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Starting in 2005, they worked at NDS Global as a Developer, where they developed soft real-time applications and core components in C. In 2008, they moved to Imagine Communications as a Developer, focusing on C and C++ development for a multiplexer and streamer system. In 2009, they joined EMC as a Senior Developer, working on storage replication solutions and kernel driver design. Yaron later became a Team Leader, managing a team responsible for the core logic of a Big Data solution. From 2014 to 2017, they worked at Dynamic Yield, first as a Senior Software Engineer and then as a Senior Team Lead, leading the development of a recommendation engine product. Yaron then rejoined Dynamic Yield in 2017 as a Director of Research Development Engineering, leading a team and overseeing the development of recommender systems and machine learning pipelines. In 2022, they joined ZoeZoe as the CTO, where they led the implementation of AI-powered recommendation technology for luxury gifting. Currently, Yaron is the R&D Director at AI21 Labs, a position they have held since March 2023.

Yaron Sternbach earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science & Biology from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem from 2002 to 2005. Later, they pursued a Master's Degree in Master of Business Administration from Tel Aviv University from 2009 to 2011.
