Patrick Bours

Patrick Bours is a distinguished academic and researcher currently serving as the Lead Researcher and Co-founder of Aiba, a startup focused on early detection of sexual predators, since April 2022. Concurrently, Patrick holds the position of Professor at NTNU, engaged in research on Behavioural Biometrics, particularly Keystroke Dynamics and Continuous Authentication, originating from a PhD in Mathematics obtained at Eindhoven University of Technology in 1990. Previously, Patrick worked as a Professor at Gjøvik University College and held various academic roles including Associate Professor and Head of the Norwegian Information Security Laboratory, where research centered on authentication methods and behavioural biometrics. Prior work experience includes a decade as a Senior Policy Maker at NLNCSA and a PostDoc in information security, with a keen interest in cryptology and user identity verification.
