Yit Voon Yap

Yit Voon Yap has a diverse range of work experience. In 2018, they worked as a Student Assistant at San Jose State University, where they taught soldering and troubleshooting skills and helped organize engineering symposiums. In 2020, they became a Teacher's Associate/Lab Instructor at the same university, where they developed curriculums, answered student questions, and provided recommendations for teaching improvement. Also in 2020, Yit Voon Yap worked as a Robotics Engineer at Miltechs US, extending functionalities of Automatic Guidance Vehicle robots and completing multiple projects. Currently, Yit Voon Yap is working at AIC Inc. since 2021, starting as a Project Manager before being promoted to Manager of the Project Management Team in 2023. In this role, they plan and execute projects, monitor statuses, and communicate with clients and team members.

Yit Voon Yap attended San Jose State University from 2016 to 2021, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications, including CSWA Mechanical Design - Associate from Dassault Systèmes in October 2020, and MATLAB Onramp and Simulink Onramp from MathWorks in July 2020.
