Jacqueline Garrahan

Jacqueline Garrahan has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of machine learning, data science, and engineering. Jacqueline began their career as an Infectious Disease Intern at Cambridge Health Alliance in 2012. After that, they served as a Vice President at TWLOHA-BC from 2013 to 2014. In 2016, they held positions as a Semiconductor Characterization Intern at AddiLat Inc. and a Staff Engineer at the Healthcare Systems Engineering Institute of Northeastern University (HSyE).

Following their time at HSyE, Jacqueline worked as a Clinical Trial Blockchain Intern at Vertex Pharmaceuticals in 2018. Jacqueline then joined Aiera as a Lead Data Scientist in 2018, where they focused on maintaining NLP infrastructure and implementing feature selection methods for the auto-ML pipeline.

In 2020, Jacqueline joined the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory as a Software Developer, where they designed the Next Alarm System for use with accelerator control systems and supported development in the lab's machine learning group. Jacqueline later transitioned to the role of Machine Learning Engineer at the same company, where they designed an online machine-learning system for particle accelerator control systems and managed deployment processes for the lab's research Python environments.

Most recently, in 2023, Jacqueline returned to Aiera as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer. Their extensive experience in machine learning, data science, and engineering positions their well for their current role.

Jacqueline Garrahan completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology with a minor in Physics from Boston College, from the years 2012 to 2016. Jacqueline then pursued their Master of Science (MS) degree in Applied Mathematics at Northeastern University, from 2017 to 2018. Prior to their college education, Jacqueline attended Noble and Greenough from 2008 to 2012, but no specific degree or field of study was mentioned for this period.
