Hedwig Spitzer de Lugaro

Hedwig Spitzer is a seasoned Conference Interpreter and Certified Translator, currently freelancing since September 1989. Hedwig provides online simultaneous interpreting for various platforms, as well as onsite interpreting in international affairs, technical, commercial, and legal contexts. Since September 2020, Hedwig has served as General Manager at Andina Idiomas E.I.R.L. and has been the Chair of the South America Region for the International Association of Conference Interpreters (AIIC) since January 2022. Previously, Hedwig was a member of the Board of the Colegio de Traductores del Perú from April 2018 to March 2022 and has had multiple lecturer positions at Universidad Femenina del Sagrado Corazón from 2000 to 2019. Educationally, Hedwig holds a Professional license in Translation and Interpretation from Universidad Femenina del Sagrado Corazón and has pursued graduate studies in French, as well as a degree in the same subject from Université Côte d'Azur.
