Oluyemi Obakin

Oluyemi Obakin has a diverse work experience spanning from 2005 to the present day. Starting as a Research Officer at the Central Bank of Nigeria in 2005, they later transitioned to a role as an HR Administrator at Capita in 2008. At Capita, they were responsible for recruitment procedures, vetting CRB applications, and conducting credit checks.

In 2010, Obakin joined AIICO Insurance Plc as a Senior Executive in the Human Resources department. Here, they communicated the company's goals and objectives, defined the reward system, and allocated financial and non-financial targets to employees. Oluyemi then moved up in the organization, serving as an Assistant Manager in Learning & Development/Performance Management from 2012 to 2013 and deputy manager in human resources from 2014 to 2014. In their role as Head of Human Resources starting in 2015, they oversaw all HR activities, managed HR projects, and monitored staffing budgets.

Oluyemi Obakin holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Ado-Ekiti, which was obtained between the years of 2000 and 2004. Additionally, Obakin pursued a Master's degree in Human Resources Management from The University of Sheffield, completing it in 2008. Obakin also has additional certifications, including the Senior Professional Human Resources International from the HR Certification Institute and the Associate designation from the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management.
