Christopher Schmitt, CPD, MSOD

Christopher Schmitt has over 25 years of work experience in various leadership and consulting roles. Their most recent position is as the Founder and Senior Leadership Advisor at Azimuth Consulting Group, LLC, where they focus on developing genuine leadership and cultivating courageous decision-making. Christopher is also an Executive Coach at AIIR Consulting, where they provide coaching services to executives. At Waldron, Schmitt serves as a Senior Consultant and partners with clients to drive results through leadership coaching at various levels. Christopher is a Senior Consultant and Executive Coach at GumballEnterprises, where they facilitate performance improvement, systems design, and team building. Schmitt has also worked in a Special Operations Advisor role at Lukos and as an Adjunct Professor of Business at City University of Seattle. Christopher has served as a Seattle Chapter Captain and Eagle Leadership Fellow at Team Red, White & Blue. Additionally, Schmitt has experience as an Expedition Leader and Project Manager at Self Reliant Leadership, LLC. Christopher worked as a Senior Consultant at Promega LLC, where they focused on leadership development and team-building. Their past experience also includes serving as a Special Operations Liaison with the Canadian Special Operations Forces Command at USSOCOM.

Christopher Schmitt, CPD, MSOD has a strong educational background in various fields of study. Christopher obtained a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations and National Security Studies from the United States Military Academy at West Point, where they attended from 1988 to 1992. In 2004, they furthered their education by earning a Master of Science (MS) degree in Organization Development from Central Washington University.

Seeking to enhance their skills as a leader and executive coach, Christopher pursued a certification in Executive and Leadership Coaching from Columbia University in 2019. Additionally, they obtained the Columbia Credential Professional Executive Coach (CCPEC) certification from Teachers College, Columbia University in November 2022.

Furthermore, Christopher has acquired several professional certifications in various disciplines. Christopher holds a Certified Project Director (CPD) certification from the Institute of Project Management, which they obtained in January 2020. Additionally, they have become a Hogan Assessment Counselor and Mentor through Hogan Assessment Systems in November 2020 and has obtained the Hogan 360 certification from the same institution in November 2021. Moreover, Christopher became a Birkman Method Certified Counselor and Mentor in October 2015 through Birkman International.

In terms of their military background, Christopher holds a Top Secret - Sensitive Compartmentalized Information clearance from the United States Department of Defense, which they obtained in September 1998. Christopher also acquired the Special Forces Qualification - Officer from the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School in June 1998 and is Ranger Qualified through the US Army since March 1994.

Lastly, Christopher has obtained certification in Wilderness and Remote First Aid from the American Red Cross in August 2021.
