Makeda Brown - PCC, CPC, ELI-MP

Makeda Brown has a diverse and extensive work experience in leadership development, coaching, and human resources. Makeda is currently working as a Principal Consultant & Executive Coach at PVR Coaching & Consulting, where they specialize in the development of leaders at all levels and helps organizations align people strategy to business strategy. Makeda also serves as a strategic adviser to business line presidents and mid-level managers across industries.

In 2020, Makeda joined AIIR Consulting as a Senior Executive Coach & Team Effectiveness Coach. Makeda focuses on creating sustained behavioral change, driving performance, and helping leaders navigate change and build a better future.

In 2022, Makeda became a Senior Consultant at NuBrick Partners, where they contribute to executive talent development and builds high-performing enterprise leaders and cohesive teams. Makeda utilizes assessments, executive coaching, learning events, and feedback opportunities to enhance leadership effectiveness.

Makeda also worked as an Executive Coach at Crenshaw Associates, where they provided executive coaching, career transition, onboarding, assessment, and directorship prep services exclusively for senior executives.

Prior to their coaching and consulting roles, Makeda gained extensive experience in human resources. Makeda worked as the Vice President, Human Resources Leader for Corporate Functions at Aramark from 2017 to 2018. Before that, they held various executive HR leadership positions at Merck, including Executive Director for Global Pharmaceutical Operations, HR Leader for Biologics Operations and Global Compliance, and HR Leader for Animal Health Global Salesforce.

Makeda also worked as a Director of Retention & Executive On-Boarding Leader during a merger integration, Global Succession Planning Leader, and Director of HR for US Human Health Sales & Marketing at Merck.

Their early career included roles as a Senior HR Business Partner at Unisys from 1997 to 2004.

Throughout their career, Makeda has demonstrated expertise in leadership development, talent optimization, coaching, and strategic HR management.

Makeda Brown's education history includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Penn State University. Makeda further pursued their education at Villanova University, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Development. Additionally, Makeda completed a Certified Professional Coach program from iPEC Coaching, specializing in Executive & Leadership Coaching.

Makeda has also earned several additional certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. These certifications include being a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) from the International Coaching Federation, an Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner (ELI-MP) from iPEC Coaching, and a Certified Crenshaw Coach from Crenshaw Associates. Makeda is also certified as a Bold, Inclusive Conversations Certified Facilitator by The Winters Group, Inc., and holds certifications in various assessment tools such as Hogan Advanced Feedback, Hogan Assessment, and Hogan 360.
