Shawn Embry

Shawn Embry is an experienced IT Security Engineer at AIM Healthcare since May 2011 and serves as a Senior IT Security Consultant for OptumInsight, focusing on acquired entities security integration since May 2001. In this role, Shawn Embry is responsible for the implementation and tuning of security devices, including Checkpoint, Cisco, and IBM intrusion prevention/detection systems across multiple geographically dispersed data centers, while also monitoring real-time security alerts from firewalls, IDS/IPS, and DLP. Previous experience includes serving as a Supervisor at UPS from December 1999 to December 2001 and as a Flight Engineer in the United States Air Force from December 1987 to December 1998.
