Roberto Trotta

Roberto Trotta is a Professor of Theoretical Physics at SISSA since October 2020, where Roberto leads a cross-disciplinary group focusing on machine learning and data science in natural sciences. Currently, Roberto Trotta is also a member of the Scientific Advisory Board at Rachael S.r.l. and holds positions at Imperial College London as a Professor of Astrostatistics, a Visiting Professor, and Director of the Centre for Languages, Culture and Communication. In addition to supervising students and overseeing a research group in astrostatistics, Roberto Trotta has an extensive background in teaching and public engagement. Previous roles include Reader and Senior Lecturer in Astrophysics at Imperial College London, Visiting Faculty at MIB Trieste School of Management, and leadership positions at Data Fusion Consultants Ltd and Imperial Consultants. Roberto Trotta holds a Master of Science in Theoretical Physics from ETH Zürich and a PhD in Physics from the University of Geneva, with additional advanced studies in learning and teaching from Imperial College London.
