Jingru Yan

Jingru Yan has extensive experience in human factors and performance management within the aviation industry, currently working as a Manager at Air Canada since February 2015. In this role, responsibilities have included overseeing quality data initiatives and occupational health and safety in in-flight services. Prior to this, Jingru was a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Waterloo, focusing on human factors risks in aviation through flight data monitoring, and also served as a Teaching Assistant for various engineering courses. An internship at the Zhejiang Safety Administration of Civil Aviation of China provided foundational experience in safety audits and safety management systems. Jingru holds a Master of Applied Science in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Engineering in Safety Engineering from the Civil Aviation University of China.
