Joe Johnsey has a diverse and extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Joe started their career in 2002 as a Physician at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and worked there until 2006. From 2006 to 2008, they served as the Assistant Medical Director and EMS Medical Director at Magnolia Regional Health Center. Following that, they joined Schumacher Group as a Physician from 2008 to 2014. In 2010, they became the Medical Director of Emergency Services at North Mississippi Medical Center and continued in that role until 2020. From 2010 to the present, they have also been serving as the Medical Director at Air Evac Lifeteam. Joe joined Relias Healthcare in 2016 as the Chief Medical Officer, and since 2018, they have been working as the Regional VP Emergency Services at Hyr Medical. In this role, they are focused on addressing the shortage of healthcare professionals by connecting practitioners and providers efficiently.

Joe Johnsey's education history includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Auburn University, obtained between 2016 and 2018. Prior to that, they completed their Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine from 1998 to 2002. Joe also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemical Engineering from Mississippi State University, earned from 1993 to 1996. Joe Johnsey began their academic journey at Northeast Mississippi Community College, where they obtained an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Pre-Engineering from 1991 to 1993. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from Reliashealthcare and the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Joe Johnsey is also certified as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt through Lean.
