Matthew Satchell

Matthew Satchell is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Aeronautics at the United States Air Force Academy. Prior to this role, Matthew worked as the Autonomy & AI Lead for Sensors and as the Flight Research Section Chief at the Air Force Research Laboratory. Matthew holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford and a Master of Science degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology. Matthew also has experience in aerospace engineering and hypersonic propulsion systems engineering. Additionally, Matthew founded and directed Otero STEM, an organization focused on enhancing educational opportunities in STEM for K-12 students.
