Michael Wetzel

CEO and President at Air Innovations - Environmental Control Units

Michael Wetzel, P.E. has a strong background in engineering and leadership roles. In 1996, they acquired Air Innovations - Environmental Control Units and has since served as President and CEO. Under their leadership, the company has experienced significant growth and expanded its reach to 50 countries worldwide. In 2011, Wetzel joined Vistage Worldwide, Inc. as a member of the Executive Board. Michael also became a member of the Board of Directors for MACNY - The Manufacturers Association in 2014. In 2019, Wetzel took on the role of President at the Central New York International Business Alliance, where they focus on helping local companies export their products globally. Michael also serves on the Leadership Council of The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI). Additionally, Wetzel is a member of the National Association of District Export Councils. Earlier in their career, they held positions as Engineering Department Manager at Clestra Cleanroom, Design Engineer at Tougher Mechanical, and Field Engineer - ME at Turner Construction.

Michael Wetzel, P.E. has a strong educational background with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Michael attended Clarkson University from 1984 to 1988, where they obtained their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME). To further enhance their professional development, Michael also participated in the HPDE (High-Performance Driver Education) program offered by the Niagara Region Porsche Club of America. Michael served as an Instructor for the program until 2021, providing valuable knowledge and expertise in the field.
