David Benson

David Benson has over 20 years of experience in the aviation industry, with a focus on operations analytics and planning. David worked at NetJets for 18 years, holding various roles including Director of Business Insights and Analytics, Director of Crew Resource Planning, and Director of Operations Planning. In these roles, they managed analytical teams, developed workforce optimization functions, and led strategic projects. Prior to NetJets, they interned at United Parcel Service, where they worked on projects related to decision support. Most recently, they served as the Vice President of Operations Analytics at Air Methods, where they focused on improving planning and scheduling for pilots, clinicians, and maintenance personnel to enhance fleet planning and maintenance.

David Benson completed their Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics at Haverford College from 1991 to 1995. David then went on to earn their Ph.D. in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan from 1995 to 2001.
