Richard Thomson

Richard Thomson is the current Chief Financial Officer at Air New Zealand. Richard has previously held the position of Group General Manager Commercial, responsible for leading the development and delivery of the Air New Zealand group's current and future passenger and direct ancillary revenue strategies, plans and targets. Prior to that, they were Associate Director, Corporate Finance at PwC, where they were responsible for identification and execution of all types of corporate advisory and M&A related advisory roles.

Richard Thomson has a Bachelor of Commerce/LLB (Honours) from the University of Canterbury and a Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance from the Securities Institute of Australia. Richard has experience in accounting and finance, securities law, and banking.

They work with Mike Williams - Chief Transformation & Alliances Officer, Leanne Geraghty - Chief Customer and Sales Officer, and Mat Bolland - Chief Corporate Affairs Officer. Richard Thomson reports to Greg Foran, Chief Executive Officer.
