Donghoon Shin

Donghoon Shin is an experienced aviation professional currently serving as a Captain B787 at Air Premia since September 2019, where responsibilities include air safety investigation and CRM instruction. In addition, Donghoon holds positions as a Line Operations Safety Auditor and FOQA Gatekeeper, while serving as President of the Air Premia Pilots Association since November 2022. Donghoon is also an Accredited Accident Investigator for IFALPA since November 2013 and an Air Safety Investigator for the Airline Pilots Association of Korea since July 2012. Previous experience includes serving as Captain B737 at Hainan Airlines and Korean Air, where responsibilities ranged from Captaincy to Senior First Officer roles. Donghoon held the position of Safety Manager and Manager of FOQA within the Korean Air Pilot Union from 2011 to 2015. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Statistics from Kyonggi University, obtained between 1990 and 1999.
