Vaclav Harant

VP, Central Europe & Central Asia, CECA at Air Products

Vaclav Harant joined Air Products in June 2017 as vice president of Central Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Based in Moscow, Mr. Harant is responsible for driving the strategy and profitability of the company’s Industrial Gases business in these regions.

Prior to joining Air Products, Mr. Harant was employed by Ecolab-Nalco, where he most recently served as vice president and general manager for Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, and CIS. Based in Moscow, he significantly increased the Ecolab-Nalco footprint in Central Europe and Russia through direct investments, channel-to-market development, and production joint ventures. Before joining Ecolab-Nalco in 2009, Mr. Harant managed Air Products’ Merchant Gases business in the Czech Republic and Slovak. He was a driving force in starting up the company’s business in Russia.

Mr. Harant holds a mechanical engineering degree from the State Technical University of Prague. He was a board member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia for several years. Since 2016, Mr. Harant has been a member of The Strategic Council for Investments in New Industries under the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
