Ilyas Ud Din

Ilyas Ud Din has a strong background in bioprocess science and fermentation. Ilyas is currently working as a Senior Bioprocess Scientist at Air Protein. Prior to this, they held the position of Fermentation Senior Scientist at NAMUH, where they focused on improving the upstream process of producing HMOs through yeast fermentation. Ilyas also authored tech transfer drafts for external partners. Before NAMUH, Ilyas worked at Element Biosciences as a Senior Scientist, where they developed a high cell density fermentation process for custom enzymes and collaborated with external partners for process improvements. Ilyas started their career at Sutro Biopharma, Inc., where they held multiple roles including Scientist, Associate Scientist, and Senior Research Associate. Additionally, Ilyas gained experience as a Pilot Plant Support Technician at Genentech and as a Process Development Intern at LS9.

Ilyas Ud Din completed their Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from NWFP University of Engineering & Technology, Peshawar Pakistan, from the year 2000 to 2005. Following this, they pursued further education and obtained a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from San Jose State University between 2009 and 2013.
