Sarah Bobby has a diverse work experience spanning over different companies and roles. Sarah started their career as a Civil Engineering Intern at Whitney, Bailey, Cox & Magnani, where they gained experience in structural analysis and design. Sarah then worked as a Structural Engineering Intern at Kiewit, where they further developed their skills in cost estimation and project management. Sarah also worked at the University of Notre Dame, first as an Undergraduate Research Assistant, where they conducted research on structural damage caused by Hurricane Ike, and later as a Ph.D. Candidate and Graduate Research Assistant, where they obtained their Ph.D. and worked as a teaching assistant. Currently, Sarah is the Principal Engineer and Senior Manager at Verisk - extreme event solutions, where they have held multiple roles since joining in 2015.
Sarah Bobby earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering, with a concentration in Structural Engineering, from the University of Notre Dame. Sarah completed this program from 2006 to 2010. Afterward, Sarah pursued further education and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Structural Engineering from the same university, a program they finished between 2010 and 2015. Additionally, they attained the certification of Engineer In Training from the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying in April 2010, and became a Certified Extreme Event Modeler through AIR Worldwide in October 2015.
