Airband are now recruiting a Quality Lead with a proven Telecoms background.

Covering the Central & Southwest Region – Salary £40,000 + car allowance + great company benefits, Permanent position offering a hybrid working model out of Droitwich. The role will also be out in the field 2 to 3 days per week in the Shropshire, Central & Oxford areas.

What are we looking for? A professional Telecoms expert with an in-depth knowledge of the Fibre business, you may be in a Team Leader role and looking for your next step or a supervisor or Engineering Auditor.

As Quality Lead you will have an in-depth knowledge of the Telecoms industry and a good understanding of the intricate levels of the business. You will have a background of implementing business improvements along with driving quality and professional standards across the business including audits of both network build and installations and report on all findings. Collaborating and working with other business stakeholders to drive Sales and customer connections.

What will your day look like:

• Take the lead on quality and provide advice and support to the regional build teams.

• Collate Business / contract Quality statistics in a timely manner and submit to the Head of Quality.

• Undertake Inspections and Audits across all functions of the business to establish compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards (Ensure compliance of PIA compliance standards and Airband build/installation standards).

• Assist in the preparation of reports and analysis of the quality performance of the business based upon the inspections and audits completed.

• Review Quality information to identify trends and areas for improvement.

• Monitoring and regular review of the of contractor and sub-contractor Quality performance management.

• Highlight areas of strength and best practice in Quality so that other teams may adopt and benefit from them.

• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with managers, supervisors, employees, contractors/sub-contractors, and external resource.

• Undertake investigations of poor quality, identifying the root cause and create action plan to prevent recurrence.

• Driving Continuous improvement programmes through effective analysis, process audits and collaborative activities.

• Ensure Compliance with specified PIA / Airband Principles and standards.

• Monthly QC Checks on Test results and Cabinet documents.

• Maintain proper record of Assessments and Report to Management with Finding’s in Monthly reporting.

• Be able to audit the Network end to end, as set out in the Airband Principles and PIA Audit standards. Including Cabinet and exchanges, Network build and installation standards.
