Mandar Deodhar

Mandar Deodhar has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Mandar is currently working at Aaranyak Farms as a Farmer, where they are responsible for building a permaculture based farm and producing organic food. Mandar also recently joined Airbase as the Director of Engineering.

Prior to their current roles, Mandar worked at Warner Bros. Discovery as the Senior Director of Engineering from 2021 to 2023. Mandar was responsible for leading engineering teams during their tenure. Before that, they served as the Director of Engineering at ZEE5 from 2020 to 2021, where they played a key role in their technical operations.

Mandar also contributed their expertise at HERE Technologies as an Engineering Manager from 2018 to 2020. Mandar led a team of engineers working on the XYZ / Data hub project, which allowed users to upload their own data and build products on top of that.

In their previous positions, Mandar held the role of Director of Engineering at Hotstar from 2016 to 2018. Mandar was responsible for building and managing user management, subscription, and payment systems. Mandar successfully handled high user traffic during IPL matches and led the migration of millions of users to a new platform without any downtime.

Before Hotstar, Mandar worked as the VP Engineering at Slonkit from January 2016 to August 2016. Mandar also served as the Chief Architect at Citrus Payment Solutions Pvt. Ltd from 2014 to 2016, where they designed solutions and led backend and frontend systems for the Cube App.

Mandar's career started at The Walt Disney Company in 2006, where they worked as a Senior Manager of Technology until 2014. Mandar played a significant role in technology management and operations.

Mandar began their professional journey in 2005 at Octane as a Team Leader, where they worked as a programmer in a startup focused on solving mobile games porting problems.

Mandar Deodhar completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Computers from Sardar Patel College of Engineering from 1999 to 2003. Mandar then pursued a Master of Technology (MTech) degree in IT from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, which they completed from 2003 to 2005.
