Thomas Smith

Thomas Smith has a diverse work experience in the field of life sciences. Thomas is currently working as a Life Science Analyst at Airfinity Ltd. Prior to that, they were a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Cambridge from January 2021 to February 2022. Thomas also served as a Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Specialist technician at Phenome Center Birmingham from August 2019 to January 2021. Before that, they worked at the University of Birmingham, where they completed their PhD and also served as a Research Technician. Additionally, Thomas gained experience as a Higher Healthcare Technical Officer at NHS Blood and Transplant from 2011 to 2012.

Thomas Smith obtained a HND in Biomedical Science from the University of Wolverhampton in the years 2007 to 2009. Thomas then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of the West of England from 2010 to 2013. Subsequently, they attended the University of Birmingham, earning an MRes in the field of "Design of a high-throughput in vitro model for complex in vivo simulations" from 2016 to 2017. Finally, Thomas completed their education journey at the University of Birmingham by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Modelling and Optimising Pretransplant Kidney Storage from 2016 to 2020.
