Daniel Velasco Díaz

Daniel Velasco Díaz has extensive experience in data and analytics roles. Daniel is currently working as the Head of Data at AirHelp since December 2021. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Manager at Capgemini for the Insights & Data Global Business Line from June 2021 to December 2021. Daniel was responsible for leading BI and analytics solution design teams and business development initiatives.

Before joining Capgemini, Daniel worked at Telefonica as a Business Intelligence & Digital Analytics Manager from May 2018 to April 2021. Daniel successfully led the migration of BI solutions and data warehouse to the Google Cloud Platform environment.

From October 2017 to May 2018, Daniel served as the Big Data Solutions Development Manager at Bankia, where they managed a portfolio of big data and analytics solutions and led a team.

Prior to that, they had a long tenure at Amadeus, starting in February 2015 as the Data & Analytics Strategy Manager. Daniel played a key role in defining and executing the data and analytics strategy for the company. Daniel also held roles as a Business Intelligence Project Manager and Business Intelligence Senior Analyst at Amadeus.

Daniel's career began in 2001 at Amadeus IT Group, where they worked as a Business Intelligence Analyst, developing BI solutions and deploying multidimensional applications.

In 2008, they briefly worked at Hotelbeds Group as a Customer Intelligence Manager, conducting data mining and statistical projects for online marketing campaigns.

Overall, Daniel Velasco Díaz has held various leadership roles in data and analytics, showcasing their expertise in strategy development, solution design, cloud migration, and team management.

Daniel Velasco Díaz earned an Associate Degree in Statistical Science from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid from 1992 to 1999. Daniel later pursued a Master's degree in Business Intelligence and Big Data from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, completing it from 2015 to 2017.
