Sulaiman Mugalasi

Sulaiman Mugalasi has extensive work experience in the field of information technology. Sulaiman is currently working as the Head Of Information Technology - Airtel Mobile Commerce at Airtel Uganda. Prior to this, they held the position of Head Of Information Technology at KCB BANK UGANDA, where they led a team of developers, analysts, and innovators, driving innovation and supporting the bank's digital and business strategy. Before joining KCB BANK UGANDA, Sulaiman worked at dfcu Bank as the Manager of Innovation & Digital Transformation and as the Manager of Applications and IT Services. Sulaiman also has experience working at Quintica as the Group IT Manager, where they managed IT operations and budget for the entire company. Sulaiman held various roles at Quintica, including IT Operations Support - NOC and NOC Engineer - Eaton Towers Uganda. Sulaiman's earlier work experience includes working as a Network Support Engineer at Smile Communications Uganda Limited and as a Data & Voice Transmission Technician at Adtel Communications.

Sulaiman Mugalasi's education history includes a BSc. in Information Technology & Data Communication from Amity University India, with a focus on Data Communication Networks. Sulaiman also holds a Diploma in Telecommunication Engineering from KYU. Additionally, they have completed training in Project Management through PRINCE 2 Foundation Training and has obtained certification as a BMC Remedy Certified Professional BCP. Sulaiman has also received training in JUNIPER and holds certifications in Riverbed Technology WAN Optimization, including RSA, RSS, RTSA, and RTSS certifications.

In terms of additional certifications, Sulaiman has completed a Management Development Programme (MPD) from Strathmore Business School (SBS) in 2018. Sulaiman also holds a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification from the Cisco Academy Training Center in Mexico obtained in 2015. Furthermore, they have obtained certifications from Microsoft including Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert - MCSE Server Infrastructure 2012, Microsoft Certified Professional - MCP, and Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate - MCSA Windows Server 2012, all obtained in 2014. Sulaiman has also completed ITIL Foundation v3 and ITIL Service Operation certifications through APMG-International in 2013. Lastly, they hold a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification from the Cisco Academy Training Center in Mexico, acquired in 2011.
