Derek McGee

Derek McGee has a wide range of work experience in various roles and industries. From 2005 to 2009, they worked as a locksmith at Ashley's US Lock & Security. In 2009, they transitioned to a data entry position at Connects-Marketing, where they maintained a customer database and performed website maintenance. From 2009 to 2012, Derek served as an office manager at Ashley's US Lock & Security, overseeing daily operations and ensuring compliance with licensing regulations. Starting in 2012, they worked at Atlas EPS Solutions, where they held a production administration role, managing inventory and conducting safety audits. From 2016 to 2017, Derek worked as an IT System Analyst at GCS Electronics & Communications, troubleshooting computer hardware and peripherals. From 2010 to 2017, they also had their own business, Smarter Design Solutions, specializing in computer repairs and maintenance. Most recently, Derek joined Airtower Networks in 2023 as an Information Technology Manager.

Derek McGee has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Information Sciences with a major in Cyber and Information Security Technology from ECPI University, which they obtained from 2021 to 2023. Prior to that, they attended Liberty University from 2014 to 2016, where they studied Business Management Information Systems with a focus on "Data Base & Data Base Networking," although they did not earn a degree. In 2004 to 2005, Derek McGee pursued Architectural Drafting and Architectural CAD/CADD at Patrick & Henry Community College, although it is unclear if they completed a degree program there. Additionally, Derek has obtained several certifications, including "Office 365: Administration," "Windows 10 Administration," "Windows 10 Essential Training," "Installing, Configuring, and Administering Active Directory," and "Basic Installation and Configuration of Windows Server 2012." These certifications were earned at Lynda.com between 2016 and 2018.
