Cory Sowell

Quality Manager at Airway Services

Cory Sowell has extensive work experience in various industries. Cory started their career in 2001 as an Assistant Manager at Discount Tire Company, where they supervised and coordinated activities related to customer service, sales, and inventory management. In 2006, they joined the United States Marine Corps as a Staff Sergeant, specializing in fixed-wing aircraft safety equipment mechanics. In this role, they trained and instructed subordinates, ensured compliance with curriculum standards, and prioritized the well-being and development of Marines. After leaving the military in 2014, Cory worked as a Siemens Lvl 5 Field Service Technician CP, QEW, performing maintenance on wind turbines. Cory then joined Airway Services in 2015 as a Quality Manager, where they administered the ISO 9001:2015 program to reduce defects and improve service quality. Currently, they also hold the role of Safety & Rescue Trainer and EHS Specialist at Airway Services, delivering training programs and adhering to safety regulations.

Cory Sowell's education history includes two institutions. From an unknown start year until 2014, Cory attended American Military University, where they studied International Relations and Affairs. Before that, from 1998 to 2001, Cory attended Tarrant County College and pursued General Studies.

These certifications include SGTT Trainer from Siemens Gamesa in July 2021, Internal Auditor from IMSM in September 2020, Medic First Aid Level 3 Instructor from Medic First Aid in February 2018, Global Wind Organization Trainer from Global Wind Organisation in December 2017, Skylotec rescue systems Trainer from SKYLOTEC GmbH in December 2017, Tech Safety Lines Trainer from Tech Safety Lines, Inc. in December 2017, NFPA 70E Certified Trainer from e-Hazard in November 2017, Turbine Climber & Rescue Trainer from Gravitec Systems Inc. in September 2017, and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from the US Navy in June 2011.
